BTEUP is the abbreviation of Board of Technical Education Uttar Pradesh. BTEUP was introduced in the year 1958 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The board conducted its first exams in the year 1960. Presently the chairperson is Mr. Bhuvnesh Kumar an I.A.S and Chancellor is B.L. Joshi. The students who apply for the Technical courses can opt for bteup scholarship.

The Government of Uttar Pradesh under the guidelines of Government of India invites applications for the UP State Pre and Post Matric Scholarships.  The scholarship is for the students who enrolled in class 1 to 12 or enrolled in ITI, Engineering, Polytechnic, Medical, Management, Nursing, BA, B.Com, M.Sc. MA courses. The scholarship is an initiative of state government to lessen the dropout rate of students.

The family income of the applicant of SC/ST category lying in BPL list should not be more than INR 30,000 per annum. The annual income should not be more than INR 25546 in urban and INR 19884 in rural areas in case of general category students.

Following are the list of scholarships one can apply if he/she is having domicile of Uttar Pradesh.

Pre matric Scholarship for ST, SC, General Category:

The scholarship is for the Schedule Caste, Scheduled Tribe and General Category students who are studying in class 1 to 10. The family income of the applicant must not exceed INR 1 lakh per annum to avail this scholarship.

Post matric Intermediate for ST, SC, General Category:

The scholarship is for the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and General Category students who are studying in class 11 and 12. The family income of the applicant must not exceed INR 2 lakhs per annum to avail the scholarship.

Post matric Other Than Intermediate for ST, SC, General Category:

This scholarship invites Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and General Category students to study at diploma, graduation and post-graduation level.

Post matric Other State (Fresh) for ST, SC, General Category:

The scholarship invites students of Uttar Pradesh who are studying in other states. The applicant must belong to the scheduled caste/scheduled tribe/general category and the family annual income from all the sources should not be more than INR 2 lakhs.

Pre matric for OBC scholarship:

The scholarship invites applications from Other Backward Category students having family annual income less than INR 1 lakh. The applicants must enroll in class 1 to 10 to avail this scholarship.

Post matric Intermediate for OBC scholarship:

The scholarship invites applicants of Other Backward Category studying in class 11 and 12. The annual income of the applicants’ family must not exceed INR 2 lakhs.

Post matric Other Than Intermediate for OBC scholarship:

This scholarship invites Other backward category students studying courses such as diploma, graduation, post-graduation having family annual income less than 2 lakh per annum.

Pre matric scholarship for minorities:

The scholarship is especially for the students belonging to minority community having family income less than 1 lakh. To avail the scholarship opportunity, the students must be enrolled in class 1 to 10.

Post matric Intermediate scholarship for minorities:

This scholarship invites application from students studying in class 11 and 12 and belong to the minority community. The family income should not exceed INR 2 lakh per annum in order to avail this scholarship.

Post matric Other Than Intermediate scholarship for minorities:

This scholarship invites students belonging to the minority category having family income less than INR 2 lakh per annum. The student must be studying diploma, graduation or post-graduation to avail this scholarship.
